Cost

The cost of Tuition in the UK can vary according to where you live, who tutors your child, the type of service they provide and also their level of expertise. London and the South East are usually expensive. You might also pay more if you use a qualified teacher rather than an Instructor. Private tutors typically charge between £15 to £50 per hour, depending on their qualifications, experience, and the subject being taught. For example, tutors with expertise in high-demand subjects like maths, science, or languages tend to charge more. Highly qualified tutors or those in major cities like London may charge more, sometimes as high as £100 per hour.

Here are some prices for some well known Tuition companies:

Kip McGrath usually costs at least £35 for an 80 minute tuition session, your child will be taught by a fully qualified teacher.

Kumon comes in with a cost of £70 per month, this may vary according to where you live. This is with an Instructor, not necessarily at teacher.

First Class Leaning is usually £60-£70 per month again usually with an Instructor.

Explore Learning has various packages starting at £149 per hour.

Many Tuition Centres double up as Childcare Centres and might be registered with Ofsted. This means that you might be able to use Childcare Vouchers, a childcare Grant or Tax Free Childcare. Well worth having a look. This might not be possible with a teacher coming to your house. According to google the average price of a tutor is £39 per hour face to face and £31 per hour online.

Finally, Chorlton Tuition Centre currently charges £36 per 80 minute session, discounts are available for multiple lessons per week or siblings.

We are Ofsted registered for childcare.
